NAVIGATION AND MAP READING
An outdoor playground can also be the perfect place to learn and grow, which is the goal of our Adventure Navigation Camp, where kids can enjoy outdoor fun and learn a unique skill. Here, kids will learn to navigate their way through the meadows, waterways and mountains of Tahoe, through guided hikes and scavenger hunts. These newly acquired skills will not only boost your child’s confidence but will create unique and lasting memories and life-lessons.
WATER ACTIVITIES
Kids can enjoy a thrilling array of water-focused activities on nearby Lake Tahoe and the Truckee River, where they’ll participate in kayaking, stand up paddle boarding, boating and white water rafting. While fun is at the center of these waterfront adventures, our Adventure Guides also teach the responsibilities and importance of water safety.
PARENTS NIGHT OUT
Even the most doting parents need a night out with other adults! Schaffer’s Mill is where you can find that respite—whether it’s a quiet dinner, a gathering with friends a bit of nightlife, we’ve got you covered. Kids will be entertained with our Kid Zone Activities and enjoy a fun-filled evening with homemade pizza, movies, games and more.
SPORTS PROGRAMS
As part of our Adventure Camps, kids of all ages will be able to participate in a host of adventure sports such as skiing, mountain biking and river rafting, as well as traditional sports like golf, Wiffle-ball, basketball, volleyball and tennis. Our tennis program includes clinics by Tara Snyder, a former world-ranked tennis player.
TAHOE EXPEDITIONS ACADEMY
Through our partnership with the Tahoe Expedition Academy, kids can participate in their renowned summer camp programs. With professional educators, artists and athletes as their guides, Tahoe Summer campers become adventurers, blacksmiths, sailors, engineers, scientists and more!
